Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Accounts Receivable Accountant to join our team at Michael Page. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the entire accounts receivable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with experience in OTC processes to take their career to the next level. As an Accounts Receivable Accountant, you will be working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and provide high-quality financial services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Accounts Receivable Management: Execute the full OTC process, including handling accounting documents, overseeing credit control, and managing cash collection
  • AR Accounting Process: Oversee the entire accounts receivable (AR) accounting process for assigned legal entities
  • Closing Tasks: Carry out monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing tasks, such as finalizing sub-ledger entries, performing reconciliations, conducting aging analysis, and ensuring proper sub-ledger cut-off
  • Financial Statements: Prepare regular financial statements
  • Budgets and Forecasts: Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
  • Auditor Coordination: Coordinate with internal and external auditors
  • Compliance: Comply with all financial regulations and standards
  • Discrepancy Resolution: Resolve any financial discrepancies
  • Financial Advice: Provide financial advice and guidance to the management team
  • Master Data Changes: Process requests for changes in master data
  • Internal Procedures: Maintain and update internal procedures and documentation, including compliance with internal control standards.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Professional Experience: At least 2 years of professional experience in Accounts Receivable (AR) or Order-to-Cash (OTC) processes, ideally within an SSC or BPO environment
  • Language Skills: Strong command of English
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with accounting software and systems
  • Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, good organisational and time-management skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, strong communication abilities, and capacity to collaborate effectively with stakeholders
