KBC Technologies Group seeks an experienced Senior Backend Spark Developer to lead the development of new software products and enhance existing ones.

About the Position
  • You will design and develop end-to-end ETL processes with Spark/Scala, ensuring seamless data transfer from/to the data lake, technical validations, business logic, and more.
  • You will work closely with our high-performance team using Scrum methodology to deliver top-notch services and technical backend components.
  • Develop specifications and deliver services required for operation, with a focus on your own development and integration with other teams and systems.
  • You will document your solutions in our Group Santander tools: JIRA, Confluence, ALM.
  • You will certify your delivery and its integration with other components, designing and performing relevant tests to ensure quality.

This role involves coordinating the Technical Product Teams' efforts, ensuring the overall technical strategy is applied across the different parts of the product.

Requirements
  1. At least 2 years of experience working as a backend developer, preferably on Agile with BigData technologies, ideally in Spark with Scala.
  2. Experience working with big data – Spark, Hadoop, Hive is a must; Azure Databricks is a plus.
  3. A strong understanding of Agile approach for software development.
  4. Expertise across data integration and data management with high data volumes.
  5. Familiarity with framework testing (Junit, Mockito) and APIs (REST & SOAP).
  6. Knowledge of Continuous Integration/DevOps paradigm and tool set (Git, GitHub, Jenkins, Sonar, Nexus, Jira).
  7. Experience with different database structures, including Postgres, SQL, Hive.
  8. Project Lifecycle knowledge.
  9. English language proficiency at B2+ level.
