Job Summary

We're seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our strategic data team, where you'll play a pivotal role in pioneering artificial intelligence concepts and cutting-edge data warehousing techniques. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for processing millions of transactions daily in low latency, working with terabytes of data across various business areas.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain batch (ELT) and real-time data pipelines and architecture.
  • Assemble large and complex data sets that meet our functional and non-functional business requirements.
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements, automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, and re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability.
  • Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, loading, and transformation of data from various data sources using SQL and AWS 'big data' technologies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including data architects, executives, product, data, and IT team members, from project inception to delivery.

Requirements

  • 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Cloud data services expertise, including AWS services such as S3, Athena, EC2, EMR, AWS Batch, and Lambda.
  • Large-scale production databases and SQL knowledge, including familiarity with cloud DWH tools like Redshift or Snowflake.
  • ELT development experience using tools like DBT and Airflow.
  • Data governance understanding and experience with data quality concepts and tools.
  • Big data technologies expertise, including NIFI, Kafka, Python, Spark, and Hudi.
  • Docker/Kubernetes familiarity.
  • Strong analytics skills and the ability to innovate.
