AI/ML Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled AI/ML Engineer to join our Data Central software development team at PAR. As an AI/ML Engineer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our platform's capabilities by developing and refining machine learning models that drive accurate forecasting, event analysis, and data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, train, and fine-tune machine learning models that handle large datasets.
  • Develop forecasting models based on economic trends, consumer behavior, and millions of internal and external data points.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions regarding the choice of frameworks and tech stacks for solutions.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to align AI/ML capabilities with business goals.
  • Develop natural language processing models, integrating open-source and commercial LLMs for content generation and personalization.
  • Lead experiments to assess the latest advancements in AI/ML and adapt them to our product needs.
Qualifications:
  • At least 4 years of hands-on experience as an AI/ML Engineer or Data Scientist with a strong focus on predictive modeling and data analysis.
  • Proficiency in machine learning frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, etc.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, R, or C#.
  • Experience working with time series data, forecasting models, and event-driven analytics.
  • Knowledge of natural language processing (NLP) and its applications in query optimization.
  • Experience with large datasets and data preprocessing.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a passion for innovation.
  • Eagerness to learn and experiment with new tools.
  • Proficiency in English (B2+).
  • Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with cloud platforms. Familiarity with Microsoft Azure services is a plus.
  • Familiarity with tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar data visualization tools.
  • Experience with A/B testing and other experimental design methodologies.
  • Experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry is a plus but not required.
