We're seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of money transfer. As part of our data delivery team, you'll work closely with bright-minded individuals to ensure timely data delivery for various stakeholders.
As a Senior Data Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing new and maintaining existing dbt models using dimensional modeling best practices.
- Creating data validation rules and quality monitors to ensure data accuracy.
- BUILDING AND MAINTAINING DATA PRODUCTS
- Guiding data users on proper data product utilization.
- Optimizing data transformations for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Implementing and maintaining data governance across the company.
- Communicating with product teams regarding data quality issues.
You'll report directly to our Data Engineering Manager.
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Excellent knowledge of DBT tool.
- Strong SQL skills.
- Experience with dimensional data modeling techniques.
- Proficiency in performance tuning on analytics databases (like Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake).
- Familiarity with how data models are used in BI tools.
Bonus skills:
- Maintaining data lakes using AWS ecosystem (S3, Glue, EMR, LakeFormation, Lambda).
- Building real-time data processing pipelines.
