About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Data Architect to join our team at Avenga. As a key member of our data architecture team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing data architectures that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data architecture aligns with business objectives.
  • Design and implement data solutions using Microsoft Azure services, including Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and Azure SQL Database.
  • Develop and maintain data models, data warehouses, and data lakes to support business intelligence and analytics.
  • Ensure data security, governance, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and developers to implement data pipelines and integrate data sources.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to stakeholders on data architecture and data governance.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in data architecture and engineering.
  • Experience with business intelligence, data analysis, and reporting in enterprise environments.
  • Experience in design, development, and implementation of solutions architecture on the Microsoft Azure platform.
  • Good understanding of data security topics, from networking layer to the end user interface.
  • Working experience with Azure Databricks (administration and data engineering) and Azure Data Factory.
  • Good understanding of Azure services (SQL database, administration, IAM, Data Lake).
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI, Qlik) is a plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft on-premises reporting solutions (MS-SQL server, SSIS, SSRS).
  • Experience with agile project delivery methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
