Risk Management and Compliance Position

Bayer AG is seeking a highly experienced Senior IT Security Risk Manager to join our team. This role involves ensuring the organization's cybersecurity governance, risk management, and compliance strategies align with business objectives while mitigating risks and maintaining regulatory adherence.

About the Role:

  • This position requires performing risk management activities to identify, assess, and mitigate cyber security risks for Bayer. The successful candidate will own and manage the cybersecurity framework, measuring its effectiveness and driving maturity to support business needs.
  • Developing and maintaining key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of GRC initiatives, directly linking them to Bayer's license to operate is a key responsibility.
  • The specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate GRC principles into business processes and systems.
  • Maintaining a structured framework to monitor regulatory changes and compliance effectiveness through regular audits is essential, ensuring proactive adaptation to emerging risks and adherence to relevant cybersecurity laws.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consulting across the organization on cybersecurity GRC matters to reinforce our license to operate, serving as a liaison between external auditors and internal stakeholders is a key responsibility.
  • Creating policies that are aligned with business outcomes and address identified regulatory risks is also essential.

Governance and Compliance:

  • Developing and implementing GRC strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices is essential.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely information is provided to the board and senior management for decision-making is necessary.
  • Establishing and maintaining policies and procedures to promote ethical behavior and accountability is a key responsibility.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in information technology, cybersecurity, computer science, or a related field is essential.
  • Proficiency in various cybersecurity tools and software is required.
  • Understanding of network infrastructure and security principles is necessary.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work across teams and with stakeholders are required.
