Job Description

We are seeking a Senior AWS Cloud Engineer with expertise in Terraform, AWS Organizations, and cloud infrastructure to design, implement, and optimize a Telco IT Landing Zone. As part of this role, you will lead Infrastructure as Code (IaC), cloud networking, and automation efforts while ensuring compliance with AWS best practices, security standards, and regulatory requirements.

Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing the AWS Landing Zone, developing modular, reusable Terraform configurations for AWS infrastructure automation, and documenting and driving best practices for development excellence.

You will also be responsible for guiding developers' tooling and automation strategies to improve ways of working, mentoring other developers on technical, operational, and methodical topics, and extending and improving our CI/CD pipelines, security controls, and monitoring systems.

  • Design and implement the AWS Landing Zone in terms of functionality, security, connectivity, and usability in accordance with the required roadmap and industry best practices.
  • Implement, build, and maintain Infrastructure as Code for deliverables using Terraform.
  • Develop modular, reusable Terraform configurations for AWS infrastructure automation.
  • Document and drive best practices for development excellence.
  • Design and implement shared services for multiple providers.
  • Drive the translation of technical requirements into designs and implementations.
  • Guide developers' tooling and automation strategies to improve ways of working.
  • Mentor other developers on technical, operational, and methodical topics.
  • Extend and improve our CI/CD pipelines (code commit, code build, state machine, lambda, python).
  • Extend and improve our security controls and compliance validation (iam, config, event bridge, lambda, python).
  • Extend and improve our monitoring systems (cloudwatch, log forwarding, custom metrics, active network tests, lambda, python).
  • Extend and improve our network services (route53_resolver, route53, vpc, tgw, dx, nlb, alb, apigateway, ec2 (for firewalls)).
  • Implement and operate systems that are highly available, scalable, and self-healing.
