Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Junior Finance Specialist to join our team in Warsaw, Poland or remotely. This role involves preparing documentation for payment processes, entering accounting data, archiving accounting documents, and assisting with financial year closing and audit processes. You will also be responsible for issuing invoices, settling bank statements from credit cards, and verifying documents from partner institutions within grant projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process financial documents, including invoices and bank statements.
  • Enter accounting data into available systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Archive accounting documents, including business trip settlements, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with financial year closing and audit processes, providing timely and accurate information to stakeholders.
  • Issue invoices to clients and settle bank statements from credit cards.
  • Verify documents from partner institutions within grant projects, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and familiarity with Polish and European accounting norms and laws.
  • Working knowledge of NetSuite, an asset.
  • Ability to work effectively across language, cultural, and distance barriers.
  • Diplomacy in communication and tactful working with donor agencies, staff, and partners.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • English and Polish working knowledge required.

Salary

Based on industry standards and the location, we estimate the salary for this position to be around €35,000 - €45,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
