Cloud Engineering Role at STX Next

STX Next is seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to ensure the continuity of infrastructure operations and automation of processes in production environments. This professional will collaborate with software development teams and the IT department to ensure system performance, scalability, and security.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Create secure and scalable architecture in Azure.
  2. P presents architecture to business stakeholders and participates in pre-sales activities.
  3. Implement and manage tools for CI/CD process automation.
  4. Configure, monitor, and maintain cloud infrastructure (Azure).
  5. Ensure infrastructure security through the implementation of best practices and security tools.
  6. Optimize system performance and scalability.
  7. Collaborate with software development teams to automate software development processes.
  8. Create and maintain documentation related to configuration and operational procedures.
Requirements
  1. Proficiency in Azure IaaS and PaaS technologies and services: Azure VMs, Azure Storage, VNETs, Resource Manager, Azure SQL, Azure Backup, Traffic Manager, Cloud & App Services, Azure Active Directory, AKS.
  2. Proficiency in Azure networking and connectivity.
  3. Good understanding of Microsoft Active Directory / Entra, MFA, and MS SQL Server.
  4. Expertise translating business requirements/problems into technical architectures utilizing Azure and complementary technologies.
  5. Experience in providing Azure advisory and consulting services to customers, including assessments, presenting recommendations on Azure migration roadmaps, architecture/designs, etc.
  6. Candidate will lead analysis, recommendations, and presentation of approaches to customers' complex problems based on prior experience and research.
  7. Strong experience in architecting/designing/deploying Azure IaaS and PaaS solutions based on a range of Azure technologies and services such as Compute, Data Services, App Services, and Network Services.
  8. Experience in migrating various workloads to Azure from traditional infrastructure or other Clouds using Azure site recovery (ASR) or similar tools.
  9. Experience in deploying and migrating various workloads to Azure.
  10. Proficiency using one of the IaC solutions (Terraform, Bicep).
