Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled QA Lead to spearhead our Test Automation efforts. This critical role involves leading a team of test automation engineers in building and maintaining robust automated testing frameworks, ensuring top-notch software quality, and driving continuous improvement in our development processes.
Key Responsibilities
As the QA Lead, you will:
  1. Lead a team of test automation engineers in developing and maintaining automated testing frameworks, focusing on enhancing R&D efficiency at ThunderSoft Europe.
  2. Develop and implement new, efficient, and stable test frameworks to elevate our quality standards.
  3. Oversee and contribute to manual testing efforts to ensure timely releases, while planning and leading the transition to fully automated release processes in the future.
  4. Coordinate closely with cross-functional R&D teams, aligning testing strategies with development goals, product requirements, and process standards such as ISO/IEC 15504 or ASPICE.
  5. Mentor and grow the skills of your team, fostering a collaborative and innovation-driven culture.
Requirements
We are looking for an experienced QA leader with a passion for test automation and quality assurance. You should excel at creating robust testing solutions and building high-performing teams. You are not just technically skilled but also great at communicating, both within your team and across departments. You have:
  • Proven experience in leading QA and Test Automation teams.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with test frameworks and tools such as MSTEST, Jenkins, msbuild, gradle, C#, C++, Python, Robot, git, and groovy.
  • Expertise in maintaining and evolving complex test frameworks and infrastructure.
  • Ability to work closely with development teams, driving both automated and manual testing efforts to completion.
  • Familiarity with virtual environments such as VMWare or AWS EC2.
  • Excellent English language and teamwork skills.

  • Experience with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • A strategic mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Experience in automating release processes and eliminating manual testing steps.
  • Experience in testing desktop applications, particularly WPF applications with a C++ backend.
  • Experience in working in organizations compliant with ISO/IEC 15504 or ASPICE.
