We are seeking an experienced Fund Accounting Team Lead to join our team in Kraków.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of fund accountants, ensuring accurate and timely processing of securities transactions, loans, securities lending, overnight transactions, and time deposits. The role also involves monitoring the quality of work, providing clear direction, and maintaining a comprehensive understanding of team activities, priorities, and challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Excellence: Ensure all tasks within the group are completed accurately, on time, and economically.
- Leadership & Oversight: Provide clear direction, monitor quality, and conduct regular reviews of team performance.
- Knowledge Transition & Process Integration: Facilitate knowledge transfer, lead process implementation, and ensure proper documentation and training.
- Issue Management & Escalation: Ensure timely escalation of critical issues and handle complaints through collaboration with stakeholders.
- Specialized Functions: Manage transaction processing, oversee bank account controls, and support new fund project launches.
- Process Optimization & Development: Collaborate on designing, implementing, and optimizing processes to enhance efficiency.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of professional experience in fund accounting at a capital management company or custodian and/or in securities processing at a bank.
- Previous leadership experience.
- Bank officer training or comparable training, supplemented where applicable by a university degree in banking studies or business management.
- Knowledge of different investment products/finance instruments (securities, loans, funds, fixed deposits, etc.).
- Proficient in MS Office (in particular Excel) and conventional information systems.
- Very good knowledge of English (in writing and speaking).
- Very good knowledge of German (in writing and speaking).
