The Role

Our Risk Management team is at the forefront of safeguarding the company's future. This interdepartmental team operates across multiple functions, products, and regions, diligently monitoring performance and ensuring that Revolut remains secure and prosperous. Team members are instrumental in launching new business initiatives, collaborating with various departments, and fostering an environment where creative solutions thrive.

We're currently seeking an Operational Risk Manager to collaborate closely with the Head of Risk and key stakeholders across the organization. As part of the Risk Management team, you'll have the opportunity to gain comprehensive insights into our operations and contribute meaningfully to cross-functional efforts, driving impactful results throughout the company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partnering with the first line of defense (1LOD) to identify, assess, document, and review risks
  • Providing guidance to 1LOD in designing, implementing, and testing the effectiveness of business controls
  • Developing and enforcing risk policies, procedures, key indicators, and appetite statements
  • Maintaining vigilance regarding risk exposure, producing reports for management and relevant stakeholders
  • Collaborating with local and global teams in the incident management process, including risk event registration, investigation, and root-cause analysis
  • Producing risk reports for senior management
  • Contributing to the New Initiatives Approval Process, facilitating engagement with key stakeholders and governance
  • Fostering a strong risk awareness and culture among staff
  • Supporting audits and regulatory inquiries related to operational risk
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in risk management or a related field within financial services
  • Fluency in English
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Impressive critical thinking, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • The capacity to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet concurrent deadlines
Nice to Have
  • Proficiency in SQL
  • A solid understanding of regulations in the financial services sector
  • Knowledge of fintech products, processes, and technologies
  • Experience with operational risk capital calculation and the ICAAP process
  • Professional certifications, such as PRMIA
