Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Product Security Consultant to join our team at Motorola Solutions. The successful candidate will provide strategic and tactical consultation to business unit leaders, assist with prioritization, and maintain security metrics.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide strategic and tactical consultation to business unit leaders on information security requirements and risks.
  2. Maintain and provide reporting on business unit security priorities, issues, projects, and metrics on a regular cadence.
  3. Establish and facilitate relevant reporting and governance forums to provide robust security and risk updates to leadership.
  4. Lead and facilitate all security and privacy efforts, including audits, risk management, regulatory compliance, and improvement to the product lines' security posture.
  5. Support local customer-facing teams, answering ad-hoc questions, completing questionnaires, and joining customer calls.
  6. Manage and report on security escalations across the business unit and partner with stakeholders as necessary.
  7. Drive the security champions program and act as a force multiplier.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  2. 10+ years of technology management, systems integration, network and communications security, system architecture experience.
  3. Broad knowledge across all relevant facets of a modern security program, including current and emerging trends and threats.
  4. Demonstrated track record of efficient delivery, directly taking on and providing deliverables.
  5. Demonstrated experience with risk management practices and strong understanding of security and privacy frameworks and regulations.
  6. Strong technical aptitude, including ability to understand technical constructs, extrapolate relevant risk, and formulate tradeoffs.
  7. Proactive, self-starter with excellent presentation and communication skills.
  8. Ability to lead through influence, including at executive levels.
  9. At least one industry certification, such as CISSP, SSCP, Security+, or CISM.
