Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Operational reporting and data analysis according to German GAAP (HGB), IFRS, and Solvency II guidelines;
  • Coordinating and preparing annual and quarterly financial statements, forecasts, and midterm planning;
  • Preparing deviation analyses and quality assurance;
  • Preparing internal and external reports, including those for the Management Board, Supervisory Board, BaFin / Deutsche Bundesbank;
  • Acting as a point of contact for auditors on all questions related to annual and quarterly financial statements;
  • Participating in and managing projects and task forces.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A bachelor's degree in economics or a related field with a focus on external accounting, auditing, insurance, or business mathematics;
  • Fluent English language skills (min B2 level);
  • Good knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS, Solvency II, or HGB) for insurance companies;
  • Very good knowledge of standard Office software, particularly Excel, and experience with databases;
  • Strong analytical thinking skills and ability to analyze complex accounting issues and present them in an understandable verbal and graphic form;
  • Excellent communication skills combined with a high degree of independence and responsibility.
