About the Role

The Country Sector Head will be responsible for driving commercial performance in their respective country, revenues, and economic income. This role will steer local sector P&L targets and ensure risk/return alignment.

Key responsibilities include developing the country sector strategy, ensuring alignment with the overall ING Wholesale Banking strategy and global sector strategy, and strengthening commercial performance within risk appetite.

The successful candidate will be responsible for building and enhancing engagement with clients at senior executive levels, leveraging the network across functions, country, and products.

Key skills and experience required include a strong understanding of the Wholesale Banking market, extensive knowledge of Wholesale Banking products and Risk management, and proven leadership experience in a complex matrix organisation.

Requirements

  • 15-20 years' work experience in the financial industry
  • International experience is preferred
  • Proven track record of steering an end-to-end organization
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to execute
  • Wealth of deal/transaction experience, market participant knowledge, and proven ability to assist in the winning of new business
  • Highly experienced in complex stakeholder management
  • Good knowledge/experience of regulatory requirements and risks (financial & non-financial)
