Software Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Design Engineer to join our team at COMATEC POLAND Sp. z o.o. in Wrocław. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing software solutions for the automotive industry.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop software solutions for powertrain, traction control, and energy management systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software solutions with remote monitoring systems.
- Optimize software performance and efficiency using the V-model.
- Validate and test software using MIL, SIL, and HIL methods.
- Provide customer support and maintenance for software solutions.
- Analyze and resolve quality cases related to software.
- Assist in the commissioning of new developments within the traction system.
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience in embedded software development in the automotive industry, preferably in buses.
- Intermediate English proficiency (German is a plus).
- Fundamental understanding of electronic and electrical design.
- Ability to conduct troubleshooting in electrical systems.
- Experience with functional safety, cybersecurity, and international standards.
- Knowledge of model-based development or C programming language.
- Familiarity with CAN interface and Linux operating system.
- Understanding of code repository (GIT) and task management (Jira).
- Knowledge of Python or Java programming language is a plus.
