About the Role

Splunk Inc is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Cloud Control Plane organization, you will be responsible for building robust and resilient auto-scaling platform solutions for hosting Splunk's enterprise software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions using innovative engineering principles.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth and expedient services to Splunk users.
  • Develop and maintain scalable and secure deployments on various cloud computing platforms (Amazon AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure).
  • Implement automation using scripting languages (Bash, Python, Go) and tools (Terraform, Jenkins, Gitlab).
  • Work with distributed systems like CDNs, Kubernetes infrastructure, databases, data replication, etc.
  • Ensure technical excellence by following continuous delivery, testing, and security best practices.
  • Operational excellence by monitoring and analyzing system performance and making data-driven decisions.
  • Collaborate with junior engineers to mentor and guide them in their projects.
