Key responsibilities include developing unit costing models to enable insights into product pricing, quotes, and deals that fall within profitability guidelines; interpreting financial data to determine and understand the trends of the business and root causes driving expense and margin results; anticipating process obstacles and deciding next steps; utilizing multiple systems to bring data together and provide analysis on operational activities; providing professional advice, guidance, and service to internal clients regarding financial and analytical support; budgeting and forecasting analysis of key drivers; partnering with internal clients to provide financial data, consultation, and make recommendations regarding completion of objectives, and improving operational effectiveness; gathering and organizing data used to prepare financial/business reports; performing financial data analysis to support the business in analyzing corporate financial targets and operational objectives; generating special ad hoc reports and performing analysis as requested by supervisor, business partners/clients, and other stakeholders; and improving partnerships with key internal clients by identifying changing business needs, service expectations, quality, and format of data provided, and identifying opportunities to improve service levels.
The ideal candidate will have minimum 2-3 years related experience, strong financial and analytical skills, highly advanced skills with Excel functions & Pivot tables, prior experience retrieving financials from Hyperion Essbase Excel Add-in interface, advanced skills with PowerPoint and presenting to a large wide-ranging audience, PowerBI report building through database connections, ability to structure and convey ideas and information, both verbally and in written presentation form, in a concise, effective, and persuasive manner to bring clear understanding to the target audience, ability to examine data from multiple sources to determine whether correlation and linkage exist between data sets, and ability to organize and manage work in an efficient and effective manner to ensure tasks, milestones, and goals are met according to defined timelines.
