We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as an IT Systems Analyst for Energy Market Optimization in Katowice.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for participating in IT/IS projects and initiatives related to the company's commercial activities, with a focus on digitalization and process automation.

This includes mapping the company's portfolios of renewable energy installations and electricity consumers & contracts in existing / newly-designed IT systems.

You will also participate in various projects related to the implementation of regulatory changes supporting the Polish and European energy market.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Participate in IT/IS projects and initiatives related to the company's commercial activities, with a focus on digitalization and process automation.
  • Map the company's portfolios of renewable energy installations and electricity consumers & contracts in existing / newly-designed IT systems.
  • Participate in various projects related to the implementation of regulatory changes supporting the Polish and European energy market.
  • Communicate with external partners to gather information and batch data.
  • Ensure data quality and integration within existing flows and processes, as well as designing and establishing new ones according to requirements.
  • Support business users in using IT/IS systems.
  • Create and maintain software and documentation related to assigned tasks.
  • Collaborate with the business and IT/IS team for ongoing duties and projects at both local and group headquarters levels.
  • Communicate and cooperate with other company departments (finance, accounting, KYC, back-office) considering mutual interactions and needs.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A higher education (MSc or higher degree), preferably in computer science, math, energy or economics.
  • Experience working with business-supporting systems and large datasets.
  • Knowledge of architectural patterns and system IT system modeling with UML/BPMN using CASE tools (Enterprise Architect).
  • Proven programming skills in languages such as Python/R and experience with at least one strongly typed OOP language (e.g., Java/C#/C++).
  • Experience with systems integration topics (different operating systems, cloud environments, middleware, communication technologies, APIs, SQL etc).
  • Deep understanding of the Polish electricity market mechanisms and renewable energy specifics is desirable.
  • Knowledge in statistics and machine learning is a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in a similar role.
  • Interpersonal skills for teamwork and effective communication.
  • Eagerness to acquire new knowledge and diligence in executing assigned tasks.
  • High motivation and analytical thinking abilities.
  • Proficiency in both Polish and English (at least intermediate level) for verbal and written communication.

Estimated Salary: PLN 70,000 - 90,000 per annum, depending on experience.
