Job Title: Data Protection Assistant

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Protection Assistant to join our team at Kingfisher. As a Data Protection Assistant, you will be responsible for handling non-complex Subject Access Requests, data requests, and related matters within B&Q and ensuring data protection compliance within ONE Kingfisher.

Key Responsibilities:

- Processing Subject Access Requests and Data Requests from customers, employees, and third parties, dealing with them promptly and in compliance with GDPR.
- Checking Data Protection mailbox on a regular basis to ensure allocated matters are picked up, actioned, and escalated as appropriate to the Data Protection team.
- Redacting SARs, including supporting the Data Protection Advisors with redacting as and when required.
- Liaising with data subjects and their representatives on non-complex data requests and SARs.
- Supporting the Data Protection Partner where appropriate.
- Assisting the Data Protection team in legal records management and filing, and archiving.
- Managing legal risk and seeking guidance where appropriate.

Requirements:

- Some legal experience
- Experience in dealing with consumer matters, including communicating with customers (both written and verbal)
- Experience in dealing with high volume caseloads
- Organisation, accuracy, and eye for detail
- Excellent word processing skills
