About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Expert to join our diverse team at Swarovski. As a member of our Global Business Services (GBS) hub in Gdansk, Poland, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality multifunctional services and ensuring continuous process improvement.

  • Purchasing Alignment: Ensure purchasing activities are aligned with corporate procurement guidelines, maintaining compliance and adhering to value limits.
  • Sourcing and Negotiation: Select suppliers from a defined pool, negotiate terms, and solicit vendor quotes for review with the business.
  • Vendor Management: Track and collect vendor quotes, prepare them for review, and ensure all relevant corporate procurement strategies and policies are upheld.
  • Market and Product Knowledge: Build, document, and continuously update market and product knowledge for goods and services, supporting informed purchasing decisions.
  • Purchase Order Management: Create and track purchase orders, as well as monitor and verify purchase requisitions.
  • Collaboration and Support: Foster close collaboration with local country organizations and spokes, providing support on material group/category claim management matters and handling day-to-day claims.

About You

We are looking for an exceptional individual with the following qualifications:

  • Operational Procurement Experience: Proven knowledge of operational procurement processes and systems, including SAP MM and SAP Ariba (a plus).
  • Buyer Experience: Minimum 3 years' experience as a Buyer, demonstrating expertise in procurement best practices.
  • Education and Qualifications: Degree in Purchasing, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Customer Service and Communication: Strong customer service orientation, good communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • Process Orientation and Problem-Solving: Continuous improvement mindset, process orientation, and solution delivery-oriented work approach, ensuring efficient problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong coordinative and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines, prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English and Spanish (speaking and writing).
