Senior Java Engineer for Low Latency Systems

We are seeking a talented Java Expert to join our team at Luxoft as a Cloud-Native Java Developer. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and deploying cloud-native applications with high availability, zero downtime, and A/B deployment.

The successful candidate will be part of a team building a centralized platform for our client's sales and trading business vertical. The platform will focus on developing the Next Generation Market Data Plant, which will ingest, collect, and disseminate market data with the lowest possible latency.

**Key Responsibilities**:

  • Design and develop cloud-native applications using SpringBoot, Ansible/Terraform, and Kubernetes
  • Implement state-of-the-art application instrumentation (logging, tracing, metrics)
  • Create name server registries, auto DNS, discoverability of services, service registry, and service management
  • Work with distributed systems and cloud computing technologies

**Requirements**:

Must have:

  • 6-7 years of experience in Java development
  • Extensive Java core server experience
  • Strong knowledge of fundamental Computer Science Data Structures and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Good understanding of large-scale solution design and implementation
  • Extensive experience with Java memory model and concurrency
  • Experience with high volume processing, real-time systems, or low-latency solutions
  • Experience with distributed systems or cloud computing

Nice to have:

  • Experience in building resilient, scalable, and high-performing multithreaded applications
  • Java low latency experience
  • Knowledge and/or experience with JNI
  • Experience with Market Data Feed Handlers
  • Experience with network protocols (TCP, Multicast)
  • Experience with Jenkins and CI/CD
  • Unix and Python scripting
