The Lead 3D Character Artist will be responsible for creating high-end 3D character models and textures, while also leading a team of artists to deliver exceptional results. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio showcasing their expertise in character creation, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.
Main Responsibilities:- Create high-end 3D character models and textures that meet the project's artistic vision and technical requirements.
- Lead a team of artists to ensure timely delivery of character assets and provide guidance and feedback to help them improve their skills.
- Collaborate with the art director and other teams to ensure consistency and coherence across the game's visual style.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, and apply this knowledge to improve the team's workflow and output.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in the video games industry, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality character models and textures.
- Experience with Unreal Engine 4/5 and proficiency in modeling tools (3ds Max, Maya, Blender, etc.) and sculpting tools (ZBrush, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, form, proportions, clothing, and material design, as well as a solid understanding of physically based rendering (PBR) workflows.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team of artists.
