Job Opportunity: Software Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Design Engineer to join our team at COMATEC POLAND Sp. z o.o. in Wrocław, Poland.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing software solutions for the automotive industry, with a focus on powertrain and traction control systems. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop software solutions for powertrain and traction control systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software and hardware components
  • Develop and maintain software code, ensuring high-quality and reliability
  • Conduct testing and validation of software solutions to ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues and customers
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in embedded software development, preferably in the automotive industry
  • Intermediate English proficiency (German is a plus)
  • Fundamental understanding of electronic and electrical design
  • Capability to conduct troubleshooting in electrical systems
  • Experience with functional safety, cybersecurity, and international standards
  • Knowledge of model-based development or C
  • Familiarity with CAN interface and Linux
  • Understanding of code repository (GIT) and task management (Jira)
  • Knowledge of Python or Java is a plus
