About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Accounting Specialist to join our team at ABB E-mobility B.V. as a Global Accounting Process Owner. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and building-up Group accounting and reporting processes in close cooperation with all Group Functions and within all Group entities.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

  1. Designing and implementing effective and efficient accounting and reporting processes to support E-mobility business
  2. Serving as a process owner to deliver faster and more accurate financial information, greater performance visibility, and enhanced compliance
  3. Assisting countries in defining and implementing robust accounting processes by also ensuring internal controls compliance
  4. Performing deep Balance Sheet review in the countries, by also ensuring accounts reconciliation and aged items monitoring process for proper discrepancies/anomalies resolution process
  5. Serving as an escalation point for complex accounting transactions
  6. Assisting in developing and implementing processes and procedures, and continuously optimizing to gain efficiency and drive productivity gains
  7. Managing Finance Master Data
  8. Building new and robust processes by also supporting the ongoing ERP implementation project
  9. Harmonizing accounting and reporting processes / systems across the entities
  10. Strong communication and transparency across all the teams

You Will Be Working Closely With:

A team of dedicated professionals who collaborate to ensure meticulous financial planning, analysis, and reporting, driving strategic decision-making and sustaining the fiscal strength of our company.

About You:

  • At least 7 years professional experience in Financial Accounting function of a global company, with a strong focus on Accounting & Reporting
  • Sound knowledge of International Accounting Standards (US-GAAP is a plus)
  • Managing diverse teams in executing and delivering results in an international environment within tight deadlines
  • A University degree (Bachelor/Master) plus further professional qualification
  • Advanced attitude in problem solving, including the ability see the big picture and to logically structure and implement an appropriate operational framework
  • Continuous improvements oriented
  • Working knowledge of SAP is a plus
  • Hands on, action orientated, team player
  • Fluency in English, Italian is a plus
