About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Manager to lead our Linux Kernel Engineering Team. As a key member of our software engineering organization, you will be responsible for directing and managing a team of software engineers and architects responsible for the development and/or validation of software for a specific Intel product segment or technology over multiple areas of the software lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage a team of software engineers and architects.
  • Oversee the development of software across multiple layers of the stack.
  • Enable teams to execute through clear goal setting, facilitating work, maintaining accountability, applying differentiated performance management, and driving team results.
  • Drive results by inspiring people, role modeling Intel values, developing the capabilities of others, and ensuring a productive work environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or any other related field with 9+ years of experience -OR- a Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or any other related field and 6+ years of experience -OR- a PhD in Computer Science, Information Management, or any other related field and 4+ years of experience.
  • Experience managing large software engineering teams, working worldwide across a multifunction matrixed organization, interfacing with multiple engineering disciplines, technical stakeholders, and strategic planners.
  • Experience with Linux operating system including bare metal and virtualization and open-source software development.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Linux Kernel subsystems maintenance.
