Job Description:

  • Lead, mentor, recruit, and train a top-notch data engineering and AI/ML team to drive innovation and excellence.
  • Create and maintain optimal and scalable data pipeline architecture and solutions that meet business needs.
  • Design and implement reporting schemas for maximum performance and insights.
  • Develop and enhance infrastructure for efficient extraction, transformation, and loading of data from diverse sources using SQL, Amazon Redshift, and other data warehouses.
  • Foster collaboration between data tools and analytics/data science teams to build and optimize our product into a leading industry innovator.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in data engineering and/or cloud/web engineering or related fields.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience, including direct communication with clients.
  • Proficiency in cloud ETL tools like AWS Glue and Azure Data Factory (ADF) for building data pipelines and orchestrating workflows.
  • Experience with data pipeline orchestration using Airflow, Prefect, or similar tools.
  • Hands-on experience with DBT for data transformation and modeling.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling techniques and best practices.
  • Expertise in SQL for querying and manipulating large datasets.
  • Experience building, maintaining, and optimizing data pipelines and overall data platforms.
  • Knowledge of at least one popular programming language used for statistical analysis, such as Python and R.
  • Experience working with Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, and Data Mesh.
  • Experience with cloud-based infrastructure providers like Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Knowledge of reporting and data visualization best practices.
  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools like PowerBI, Redash, Tableau, Periscope, and Mode Analytics.
  • Ability to dynamically program PowerBI reports and visualizations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
