Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Locomotion and Animation Engineer to join our team at CD PROJEKT RED. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing locomotion and animation systems for our games.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing locomotion and animation systems and/or extensions to these systems.
  • Collaborating with other engineers, designers, and animators to ensure seamless integration of locomotion and animation features.
  • Maintaining, debugging, profiling, and bug fixing code to achieve the best quality and performance.
  • Documenting code and work, creating debug tools for other developers, and creating tests to cover existing functionality.

Requirements:

  • Practical knowledge of game locomotion and animation systems (designs and patterns).
  • Knowledge of modern game animation systems architecture.
  • Deep knowledge of C++.
  • Math and algorithmic skills.
  • Good and practical knowledge of code parallelization.
  • Good spirit and team player approach with solid communication skills.
  • Fluent English.

Nice to Have:

  • Good knowledge of Unreal Engine 5 environment - especially features and systems related to locomotion and animation areas.
  • Knowledge of motion-matching technology.
  • 3+ years experience in game dev industry.
  • Experience in creating a AAA title for game consoles, debugging and profiling these games in console environment.
