About the Job

As a Cloud Infrastructure Architect or Senior DevOps Engineer at Google, you will play a critical role in shaping the next generation of technologies that transform how billions of users interact with information and each other.

We're seeking talented individuals who can design, develop, and maintain large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, and networks. Your technical expertise will enable you to manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and innovation.

Our products require handling massive amounts of information, and we need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities, and be enthusiastic about tackling new challenges across the full-stack. You will have opportunities to work on specific projects critical to Google's needs and switch teams as you grow and evolve within the company.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions using your technical expertise.
  • Collaborate with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies through design reviews.
  • Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices are followed.
  • Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve them by analyzing sources and impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience with software development in one or more programming languages, data structures/algorithms.
  • Experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and software design and architecture.
  • Experience developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, or networks, or compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • Experience developing accessible technologies.
  • Technical leadership experience.
