About the Role
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT management, with at least 7 years of experience in a leadership role focusing on IIoT, manufacturing, mining, or related fields.
  • You will be responsible for developing and implementing a business alignment digital mining strategy that aligns with the overall company's business objectives.
  • A key aspect of this role is overseeing the selection, implementation, and operations of relevant technologies, including integration into the wider Knauf Eco-System.
  • You will also lead change management initiatives to drive adoption of new technologies and processes across the organization.
What You'll Do
  1. Strategy Development: Develop and implement a business alignment digital mining strategy that aligns with the overall company's business objectives.
  2. Strategy Execution: Oversee the selection, implementation, and operations of relevant technologies, including integration into the wider Knauf Eco-System.
  3. Leadership: Enhance, lead, and mentor a team for Digital Mining Solutions, fostering a close collaboration with the business and drive a culture of empowerment and innovation.
  4. Financial Management: Own and manage the respective technology budget end-to-end (Implementing, Operating, Licensing, etc.).
  5. Change Management: Lead change management initiatives to drive adoption of new technologies and processes across the organization.
  6. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate very closely with key stakeholders in the business, within IT and other support functions (e.g., Security, Compliance, Manufacturing, HR).
Who We're Looking For
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in information technology, physics, chemistry, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role focusing on IIoT, manufacturing, mining, or related.
  • Skills:
    · Strong understanding of manufacturing processing industry
    · Strong understanding of manufacturing, I4.0, and/or mining trends
    · Excellent change management skills.
    · Proven ability to lead and inspire a diverse, global team.
    · Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    · Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in English is a must; additional proficiency in German is advantageous.
  • Travel: The team is/will be located across three main locations in Germany, Poland, and Malaysia, requiring regular onsite presence. Ability to travel up to 25% of your time is required.
