About Our Client

Michael Page is working with a leading international oil & gas company.

Job Description:

  • We are looking for a skilled Chief Financial Officer to lead our financial team in Warsaw, Poland.

Responsibilities:

  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for the monthly, quarterly, yearly consolidation process in accordance with local & Group reporting requirements.
  • They will oversee compliance with all local reporting PL tax, customs, VAT & other statutory filings.
  • The successful applicant will manage the Audit process from A to Z.
  • As a key point of contact for Group Operations & Finance, they will ensure timely and accurate close according to group policy, processes, systems, and technical requirements.
  • Finance Projects (first 3-6 months)
  • Review accounting & reporting processes to identify value-add efficiencies & improvements.
  • IFRS transition (bridge from PL GAAP)
  • Group chart of accounts: ensuring clear & consistent booking instructions so that the Group achieves consistent financial reporting.
  • Streamlining and automating finance & reporting processes.
  • Create and maintain financial reports and business plans.
  • Prepare (support) financial budgets and plans and analyse various financial outlooks;
  • Supervise account reconciliation.
  • Oversee month-end closing of accounts, identify issues, compare with year-ago results, and financial projections.
  • Deliver on various information requests from the Management team;
  • Supervise efficient working of staff and provide feedback for employees.
  • Administer performance appraisals for employees and recommend changes.

The Successful Applicant

  • Prior experience with Group reporting under IFRS is highly relevant.
  • Prior audit & accounts preparation experience is relevant.
  • 6+ years' experience required in a Senior Controlling role / Plant Controller.
  • Bachelor and/or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
  • CIMA, CGMA, CPA or ACA designation is relevant.
  • Experience with SAP is a plus.

What We Offer

A competitive base salary of approximately 90,000 EUR per annum, bonus, and benefits package.
