About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Lead SAP ABAP MDG Developer to head our development team for the SAP Master Data Governance module. This critical role is instrumental in supporting the transformation and consolidation of three core existing SAP ERP systems into a singular S/4 HANA ERP core.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement SAP Master Data Governance solutions that meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate MDG with S/4 HANA, ensuring seamless integration and optimal system performance.
  • Manage the full project lifecycle, from planning through deployment, for all MDG-related initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Define and enforce coding standards and best practices for the ABAP development team, promoting consistency and excellence in code quality.
  • Conduct regular code reviews and provide technical guidance to team members, helping them improve their skills and stay up-to-date with the latest technologies.
  • Optimize performance and scalability of MDG applications, ensuring they meet the needs of a growing business and can handle increased traffic and demand.
  • Identify and resolve any technical issues arising during the project, working closely with stakeholders to ensure prompt resolution and minimal impact on business operations.
  • Develop detailed technical documentation for MDG implementations, providing clear and concise guidance for future developers and maintainers.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest SAP technologies and updates related to MDG, applying new knowledge and skills to drive innovation and improvement.
  • Provide mentoring and support to junior ABAP developers, helping them grow and develop in their careers.

Requirements:

  • Over 5 years of experience in SAP ABAP development, with a strong focus on master data governance and S/4 HANA implementation.
  • At least 1 year of relevant leadership experience, demonstrating ability to lead and manage high-performing teams.
  • Proficiency in SAP MDG, S/4 HANA, and ABAP programming, with expertise in customization and configuration.
  • Background in leading technical teams in ERP transformations, with experience in consolidating multiple SAP ERP systems.
  • Understanding of integration between SAP MDG and other SAP modules, as well as skills in performance optimization for large-scale ERP systems.
