Hybrid Work Environment

We offer a unique opportunity to work in a hybrid work environment as a Forecasting Lead. In this role, you will lead the creation and maintenance of statistical forecasts for our portfolio, collaborating with demand planners and analyzing demand drivers to optimize forecasts.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Lead the creation and maintenance of statistical forecasts for the entire portfolio, taking into account demand drivers at the agreed hierarchy level.
  2. Collaborate with demand planners to generate initial forecasts and consider cannibalization impacts for new product introductions.
  3. Implement machine learning forecasts and disaggregation to building blocks, optimizing and tuning statistical forecasts to update system parameters.
  4. Ensure final output is completed in the system through automatic cleansing processes.
  5. Generate historical demand performance reports and ensure all necessary actions are considered for forecasting.
  6. Monitor and report on KPIs such as forecast accuracy, bias, MAPE, and forecast value add at multiple levels and lags, providing insights on contributing factors and improvement opportunities.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain management, applied math, or other relevant fields.
  • Strong understanding of advanced planning systems and their functionality, e.g., Kinaxis, o9 Solutions.
  • Knowledge of ERP functionality, experience with SAP/Oracle/JDE an asset.
  • Demonstrated experience in forecasting using statistical techniques, collaboration scenario modeling, and parameters modeling.
  • Strong analytical skills, exceptional drive, and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform well in a fast-paced environment, maintaining high client focus.
  • Strong work ethic and high attention to detail, with a desire to learn.
