**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Accountant - EMEA Function to join our team in Gdansk.

This is a full-time position with a hybrid work model, requiring presence in the office two days per week.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in general ledger accounting, group accounting, or audit.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing ongoing and ad hoc support to the Finance Manager.
  • Supervising and supporting the AP department's daily operations.
  • Reviewing business trip settlements for accuracy.
  • Performing settlement reconciliations, including intercompany transactions.
  • Posting bank statements and maintaining fixed assets accounting.
  • Issuing sales invoices and managing other accounting entries (deposits, provisions, taxes).
  • Maintaining accurate company documentation.
  • Challenging existing processes to drive continuous improvement.
  • Supporting external and internal audit processes.
  • Assisting in preparing annual financial statements.
  • Reconciling balance sheet accounts and ensuring compliance with month-end, VAT, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Contributing to ad hoc projects by providing financial insights.

**Requirements:**

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
  • Relevant experience in general ledger accounting, group accounting, or audit.
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel and ERP systems.
  • Fluent in English.
  • In-depth knowledge of local GAAP in Poland (knowledge of IFRS is a plus).
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Exceptional technical accounting, reporting, and reconciliation skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
