We are seeking a talented and experienced Cloud DevOps Engineer with a strong emphasis on enterprise deployment methodologies and Kubernetes to join our dynamic team. As a key member, you will play a critical role in designing and deploying reliable, performant, and scalable infrastructure and applications with a particular focus on GCP Shared Services.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with a broad range of senior stakeholders across many functions, including Architecture, Security and Compliance, Cyber Security and other Cloud platform teams, to provide strategic direction and guidance on key technologies and infrastructure components used.
  • Be a champion for safe change, contributing to process improvements and promoting a culture of safety and accountability through change-related ceremonies and individual opportunities for feedback.
  • Develop oneself and others, maintaining and making progress against an ambitious personal development plan while seizing opportunities for day-to-day and more strategic technical development of the wider GCP team and its customers.

Requirements:

  • Proven mastery of core technologies associated with Cloud infrastructure operations and automation, with expert level knowledge of multiple cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud.
  • Deep understanding of network, storage, and security principles, with experience in designing, implementing, and operating at global, enterprise scale.
  • Significant practical experience of major incident response and troubleshooting methodologies, with demonstrable experience of leading a team to successful remediation of high-pressure, materially impacting incidents.
