Job Title: Production Engineering Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Production Engineering Specialist to join our Global Payments Solution Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the technical stability and systems lifecycle of our Tier 0 and Tier 1 payments systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide full scope of day-to-day production support, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues promptly to minimize system downtime and impact on business operations.
  • Provide technical support to end users, addressing queries and resolving issues related to production applications.
  • Document and manage incidents using ticketing systems, ensuring thorough tracking and resolution of issues.
  • Work closely with development team to address bugs, implement fixes and perform root cause analysis.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance system efficiency and reliability.
  • Participate in on-call rotation to provide coverage for critical production issues/changes during weekends.
  • Report and investigate alerts related to payments using SQL/Splunk, while maintaining SLAs.
  • Assist with the deployment of new applications, updates and patches to production environments, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal impact on users/operation.
Requirements:
  • Experience in SQL and PL/SQL.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes.
  • Strong understanding of Oracle database architecture and components.
  • Experience with shell scripting (Bash, Python, etc.) for automation purposes.
  • Knowledge of system monitoring and performance tuning.
  • Understanding of security best practices.
  • Understanding of the payment processing lifecycle and protocols.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
