About the Role

As a Cloud Native DevOps Expert at Schenker Technology Center Warsaw, you will play a crucial part in shaping our software operations platforms. Your primary goal will be to ensure seamless feature flow from code to production, working closely with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Security and Compliance: Continuously improve and apply security updates to maintain the integrity of our software operation platforms.
  • Kubernetes and Development Toolbox: Develop and maintain our Kubernetes platform and development toolbox (GitLab, SonarQube, etc.) to optimize performance and efficiency.
  • Infrastructure Management: Deploy and maintain cloud-based infrastructure, ensuring optimal resource usage and cost management.
  • Scripting and Pipeline Development: Create and maintain scripts and pipelines for continuous deployment of our platform components.
  • Tool Development: Develop Go/Python-based tools to enhance our software operations platforms.
  • Research and Innovation: Stay updated on the latest tools and methodologies to provide innovative solutions.
  • Risk Management and Disaster Recovery: Establish strategies to mitigate risks and ensure effective disaster recovery processes.
  • Cost Optimization: Monitor and optimize costs associated with resource usage.
  • DB Schenker Cloud Standardization: Contribute to defining and implementing DB Schenker Cloud standardization and harmonization.
  • On-Call Duty: Participate in 24x7 on-call duty rotation to ensure prompt issue resolution.
Requirements:
  • Professional Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a relevant field, such as enterprise software development or operations of a Kubernetes-based/cloud-based software operations platform.
  • Kubernetes and Container Technology: Strong understanding of Kubernetes and container technology.
  • Docker and Linux Administration: Familiarity with Docker and Linux system administration knowledge at least on the level of LPIC-1.
  • Amazon Web Services Knowledge: Proficiency in Amazon Web Services, including AWS Developer Associate Training.
  • CI/CD Pipelines and Networking: Experience with CI/CD pipelines and networking fundamentals, including IP/TCP/HTTP.
  • Cloud Native Scripting Languages and Logging: Familiarity with cloud native scripting languages, logging, monitoring, and alerting tools.
  • Software Development Background: Solid software development background, including experience with Go, Python, and other languages.
  • SQL Databases and Lean/Agile Practices: Familiarity with SQL databases, preferably PostgreSQL, and Lean/Agile practices such as Kanban.
  • Application Performance Monitoring and IAM: Experience with application performance monitoring and Identity and Access Management (IAM).
  • Solid Security Knowledge and Collaboration Tools: Solid security knowledge, including encryption, PKI, credential rotation, and familiarity with collaboration tools like GitLab, SonarQube, Dependency Track, Trivy, Grafana, Dynatrace, and OpenSearch.
