MRO Facility Director

The Senior Operations Manager position is a mid-senior level role responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the GTF MRO operations at the Al Ain facility. As part of The Sanad Group, this individual will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our operations by driving safety, regulatory compliance, quality, cost control, and customer satisfaction objectives.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
• Concept of Operations (ConOps) & Strategy: Develop and implement the operational strategy for the MRO facility, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and continuous improvement methodologies (10% of total responsibilities).
• Operational Leadership: Responsible for floor line and shop floor management, leading and overseeing the activities of Team Leaders across six gate operations (25% of total responsibilities).
• Safety and Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety, regulatory, and airworthiness compliance standards across all six gate operations (10% of total responsibilities).
• Budget Planning and Financial Oversight: Develop and manage budgets for MRO operations, including workforce planning, capital expenditures, and operating expenditures, ensuring financial efficiency and alignment with business goals (10% of total responsibilities).
• Operational Excellence: Monitor and drive key performance indicators such as Turnaround Time, On-Time Delivery, efficiency, and utilization rates across all gates (20% of total responsibilities).
• Process Industrialization and Readiness: Ensure all operational processes, infrastructure, and systems are in place for Day 1 readiness, including ERP testing, mock operations, and risk mitigation strategies (10% of total responsibilities).
• Risk Management and Business Continuity: Identify potential risks across MRO operations and implement mitigation strategies to ensure regulatory compliance and operational continuity (10% of total responsibilities).
Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in a technical/engineering and/or commercial field.
• Advanced management or leadership training (certifications, courses, or workshops).
• Minimum 15 years of experience in a Part 145 MRO organization handling high engine volumes, preferably with both OEM and third-party customers.
• Strong ability to lead large-scale operational transitions and process improvements through project management and change management skills.
