About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled MS SQL Database Engineer to join our team at Jit Team. As a key member of our Database Engineering department, you will play a critical role in supporting the transition to NLP and preparing for transformation.

About the Job

  • Mature database services to provide automated services, CI/CD tools and Infrastructure as code.
  • Participate in development of future standards with architecture team and PO, driven by business needs.
  • Focus on business requirements and understanding of the value chain to deliver the right solution.
  • Actively manage and perform Root Cause Analysis and reviews to prevent Incidents (Major) from re-occurring.
  • Analyse and optimize database performance to optimise infrastructure utilisation.
  • Provide guidance to less experienced team members to share knowledge.
  • Actively work together with members of other teams to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Drive and participate actively in Task Forces and Focus Groups to improve operational stability.
  • Participate in project activities.

Requirements

  • MS SQL and Windows Server knowledge on a senior administrative level.
  • Experience with SQL databases on Azure and Azure specific competencies.
  • MS PowerBI server maintenance and reports creation knowledge.
  • Active Directory basics.
  • Knowledge of ITIL and Scaled Agile Framework required.
  • Shell scripting and Ansible Tower experience considered an advantage.
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
  • Interpersonal communication skills.

Project Overview

The main objective of this project is to support the completion of NLP transition and prepare for transformation. As a key member of the Database Engineering team, you will work closely with the Platform Owner to set the strategic direction for the Database ecosystem and plan and execute on the roadmap. Your responsibilities will include mature database services, participating in the development of future standards, and actively managing and performing Root Cause Analysis and reviews.
