Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Pega Developer to join our team at ING.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing COE services for the PEGA platform, developing effective applications, and optimizing their implementation. They will also be responsible for choosing the right solutions, in line with security requirements and good practices, and reviewing and offering consultancy to consumers on how to enhance existing applications with minimal tech debt.

About the Squad

Our team is responsible for creating a differentiating customer experience through the use of Pega software. We are providing a Process Automation Platform to 40+ countries to enable our strategic ambitions. The purpose is to productize our process automation capabilities to the rest of ING worldwide.

The Process Automation Platform/One Pega Platform provides a standard and easy way to digitize processes and provide process automation capabilities like workflow management using Pega BPM software. Part of our Platform as a service model, we are providing to our customers services like: Software reusable components, Infrastructure, Life cycle management, Pipelines, Self service capabilities, and Architectural designed guidance, in order for them to build on top of the Platform their customer journey applications, helping them with the heavy lifting of the activities that are not a differentiator in their value proposition and providing them with great opportunities for re-use cross teams, domains and countries.

Requirements
  • You are a Pega Certified Lead System Architect or an experienced Senior System Architect (minimum 5 years experience in a Pega hands-on role).
  • You have strong expertise in core Java.
  • You have end to end experience in the design and implementation of PRPC-based applications.
  • You are well versed with class hierarchy, ruleset hierarchy, data layer, flows, flow actions, work baskets, deployment.
  • You are strong in Integration components - you have experience with SOAP and RESTful web service implementations, Kafka.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with React and Web-Component front-end skills.
  • Strong understanding of deployment architecture of Pega (Pega-Ops skills).
  • Scalability and Performance tuning the application, App server and database.
  • Knowledge of Agile/SCRUM.
  • Experience with working in an international environment.
