About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Valuation Oversight Senior Analyst to join our team at State Street Global Advisors. As a key member of our Valuation Oversight Team, you will be responsible for performing and reviewing daily, weekly, and monthly procedures and controls related to securities valuation oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform and/or review daily/weekly/monthly procedures & controls monitoring the prices utilized for securities held in the funds
  • Summarize results of procedures & controls, and assist in the preparation of materials presented to the Valuation Committee and Fund Boards of Trustees
  • Maintain valuation oversight procedures and recommend changes/improvements as appropriate
  • Stay up to date on current market developments and industry standards
  • Maintain a highly controlled environment
  • Monitor and follow up with vendors on pricing issues
  • Assist in ad-hoc projects, as requested

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strength with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint); Familiar with Bloomberg Terminals
  • Understanding of valuation of corporate actions and various security types (i.e. equity, fixed income, futures, swaps, options etc.)
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills; results driven with ability to creatively problem solve
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills
  • Highly organized with attention to detail
  • Has flexibility to work independently while valuing the benefits of influencing a true team effort
  • Proficiency to establish priorities and meet deadlines
