Citi EMEA is a leading financial institution, and we are currently seeking an experienced Fund Accounting Expert to join our team. As a key member of our fund accounting department, you will be responsible for various fund valuation activities, including the calculation and verification of Net Asset Value (NAV) as well as reconciliation of accounting records to custodians.

We offer a dynamic work environment with opportunities for growth and development. Your significant role in the verification of NAV, onboarding of new business, and application of skills in a team of highly capable fund accountants will make this position both challenging and rewarding.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor work activities to ensure timeliness and accuracy of fund activities
  • Process daily work in a timely and accurate manner and act as an escalation point for questions and research
  • Review associate work and provide signoff for complex transactions or sensitive clients
  • Assist in developing training materials and training employees
  • Ensure procedures and controls are followed and the integrity of the data processing environment is maintained
  • Assist manager in identifying need for and implementing procedural changes, assist in daily administration of team
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation, safeguarding Citigroup and its clients and assets

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • 4-6 years of experience in accounting, finance or business related area
  • Chartered Accountant /CFA/MBA will be an advantage
  • Demonstrated Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge in related area
  • Effective verbal and written English skills
  • Proficient computer skills with a focus on Microsoft Office applications
  • Details oriented
