Data Engineer Position

We are seeking experienced professionals to collaborate on a critical project involving the development of data products and reporting solutions that support informed decision-making for organizations in the diagnostic instruments sector.

Responsibilities

  • Data Pipeline Development: Design, implement, and optimize data pipelines using Python or R to ensure efficient data processing and management.
  • Data Architecture Implementation: Collaborate on the implementation of data architecture concepts, including ETL/ELT processes and real-time data streaming, to enhance data storage and retrieval capabilities.
  • Performance Optimization: Conduct thorough performance analysis and troubleshooting of data pipelines to identify areas for improvement and enhance overall efficiency.
  • Advanced Tool Utilization: Leverage tools like DBT, Airflow, and cloud services to improve data processing, storage, and management capabilities.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Implement robust data quality checks to ensure compliance with relevant standards, particularly in pharmaceutical data formats.

Requirements

  • Programming Experience: Several years of experience in programming languages for data pipelines, particularly Python or R.
  • Java/Scala Experience: At least 1 year of experience in Java or Scala.
  • SQL Proficiency: Strong knowledge of SQL and its applications in data management.
  • Data Pipeline Management: Several years of experience in managing data pipelines and ensuring their smooth operation.
  • Diverse Storage Knowledge: Familiarity with various storage types (file systems, relational, NoSQL) and data formats (structured, unstructured).
  • Cloud Technologies: Working knowledge of cloud data solutions (e.g., Airflow, Glue, BigQuery) and their applications.
  • Git, Gitflow, Docker, and Jenkins: Strong knowledge of version control systems, continuous integration, and deployment tools.
  • Pharma Data Formats: Familiarity with pharma data formats (SDTM) and their requirements.
