The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist / ML Engineer to join our team of technology experts. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging projects across various industries, leveraging cutting-edge technologies. Some of the projects we are currently working on include:

  • An AI-driven optimization engine to streamline airport operations, utilizing real-time data from sources like radar, air traffic, and passenger information.
  • AWS-powered solutions to provide domain-specific recommendations using sophisticated LLMs.

Your Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Developing, implementing, and validating Machine Learning models to support business objectives.
  • Designing AI solutions that address complex business challenges and drive value.
  • Researching, testing, and selecting the best tools and technologies to meet business requirements.
  • Understanding client needs and translating business problems into data science problems.
  • Architecting and overseeing the implementation of data pipelines and workflows, ensuring high standards for data quality and security.
  • Collaborating with Data Engineering and Software Engineering teams to strategize and oversee the building of AI applications.
  • Presenting findings and recommendations clearly and concisely to stakeholders.
  • Prioritizing and controlling tasks within an Agile/Scrum framework, ensuring timely delivery.

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years of commercial experience designing and implementing scalable AI solutions (Machine Learning, Predictive Modeling, Optimization, NLP, Computer Vision, GenAI).
  • Proficiency in developing ML algorithms from scratch to production deployment.
  • Strong programming skills in Python: writing clean code, OOP design, extensive knowledge of ML libraries (Scikit-Learn, PyTorch / Tensorflow).
  • Proven expertise in deploying solutions in cloud environments (AWS or Azure).
  • Knowledge in applying LLMs (semantic search, prompt engineering, multimodal embeddings, RAG).
  • High proficiency in English (C1 level).
  • Excellent communication skills and consulting experience with direct interaction with clients.
  • Working experience in SQL and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Snowflake, Databricks).
  • Good knowledge of CI/CD principles (GitHub and GitHub Actions).
  • Familiarity with MLOps practices, Kubernetes, and Docker.
  • Masters or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
  • Experience with Big Data technologies like Spark, Hadoop, and Kafka is a plus.
  • Leadership and mentoring experience is highly desirable.
