Overview

Splunk Inc, a leading provider of machine data analytics solutions, is seeking an experienced Senior Mobile Software Developer to join its Product Experience team. As a key member of this team, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing world-class mobile applications that cater to the needs of our global customers.

Salary

We offer a competitive salary range of $155,000 - $217,000 per year, depending on your location and experience. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.

Job Description

In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deliver high-performance mobile applications that meet the evolving needs of our customers. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with product managers, designers, and senior engineers to design and implement new features within our mobile applications;
  • Building complex app components and taking an app through the entire software development life cycle (SDLC), including fixing bugs and improving performance;
  • Participating in peer code reviews and helping improve code quality over time;
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • At least 7 years of experience working with mobile application development, preferably in Android (Java or Kotlin);
  • Strong experience in building native mobile applications with an emphasis on performance and robustness;
  • Experience in mobile instrumentation and analytics, mobile app lifecycle, and collaborating with design and cross-functional engineering teams to make the complex simple for the user;
  • Familiarity with Protobuf and/or gRPC, as well as general-purpose programming languages such as Java, Python, Go, Rust, or C++;
