Job Title: SCADA Engineer

Vestas is seeking a highly skilled SCADA Engineer to join our team in Plant Operation, a part of NCE (Northern & Central Europe). As a SCADA Engineer, you will play a crucial role in installing and servicing SCADA systems, controlling medium and large-sized wind power plants.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead network-related tasks in cross-functional projects
  • Configure and commission network communication for Vestas SCADA solutions and other automated functionalities in our power plants
  • Provide remote support and network-related troubleshooting in cooperation with customers and cross-functional teams
  • Technical documentation
  • Ensure knowledge sharing, optimizing, and improving our product solutions
  • Utilize different software platforms to support service business and stakeholder satisfaction
Requirements:
  • A relevant technical education, e.g., in an engineering field, telecommunications, CCNA, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols and technologies
  • Experience with leading networking vendors' hardware and software, e.g., Cisco, Microsoft
  • Familiarity with network monitoring and analysis tools, e.g., Nagios
  • General knowledge of maintenance or commissioning of SCADA systems will be an advantage
  • Speaks and writes at least English fluently
Competencies:
  • Ability to organize multiple assignments and prioritize tasks and projects as needed
  • Ability to participate effectively as part of an international and geographically remote team
  • Proven ability to work with limited supervision
  • High attention to detail and a solid commitment to quality
  • Experience from working with wind turbines or offshore network setup is an advantage
