Logistics Coordinator

As a key member of the Wesco team, you will play a critical role in ensuring timely delivery of merchandise, supplies, and equipment to meet stocking requirements and customer delivery commitments.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor open purchase orders to ensure receipt by supplier and secure supplier ship dates to guarantee on-time delivery.
• Review order confirmations, quantity, and price acknowledgements from suppliers, and load supplier's promise ship dates into business systems.
• Follow up with suppliers on order status and delivery, and communicate delivery information to impacted departments.
• Collaborate with transportation companies to prevent delays in transit, trace shipments in cases of en route delays, and arrange for distribution of materials upon arrival.

Qualifications:

• High School Degree or Equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
• 1 year required, 2 years preferred of directly related training and experience.
• Knowledge of air, expedited, LTL, and cartage areas.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to multi-task, follow direction, and work in a team.
• Strong computer skills.
• Attention to detail.
