Global AP Manager

At Tenneco Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global AP Manager to lead our Accounts Payable operations. This is a critical role that requires a strong leader with a proven track record of driving process improvements and leading transformational initiatives.

• Develop and implement a global AP strategy aligned with Tenneco's overall strategy and objectives.
• Oversee AP operations conducted globally from multiple offices, ensuring high-quality, seamless, and cost-effective services.
• Continuously improve AP processes and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Manage both captive and outsourced AP operations to ensure high performance and alignment with global standards.
• Drive the standardization and harmonization of AP processes.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.
• Lead transformation initiatives, including the adoption of new technologies and automation tools to optimize AP operations.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our AP function remains cutting-edge.
• Partner with CFOs, BU Ops Controllers, and other key stakeholders to evaluate and improve the AP landscape.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all AP-related matters, providing expertise and guidance.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness and efficiency of AP processes.

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in Accounts Payable or a related finance function, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of driving process improvements and leading transformational initiatives.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to drive fact-based decision making.
• Strong knowledge of AP best practices, technologies, and industry trends.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficient in relevant financial software and tools, such as SAP and ERP programs.
• Strong project management skills, including stakeholder, timeline, and meeting management skills.
• Strong negotiation skills and an understanding of terms, conditions, and contracting techniques for managing risk.
• Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation skills; comfortable and credible with both internal stakeholders and external audiences.
• Able to work up, down, and across a large organization; connects at all levels, i.e., operations, management, executives.
• A flexible, dynamic, self-demanding, and proactive individual; able to motivate themselves and others; easily accepts constructive input from others.
