EHS Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain Polish law and corporate procedures in the field of EHS.
• Consult and present proposals for technical and organizational changes to improve working conditions, safety, and environmental protection.
• Participate in the implementation of new technological processes.
• Advise on the organization and methods of work at workplaces with hazardous factors, harmful to health, or burdensome conditions.
• Conduct inspections, observe working conditions, and supervise compliance with EHS regulations and principles.
• Carry out periodic analyses of the safety status in the workplace.
• Participate in the commissioning of newly built or modernized facilities, processes, and devices affecting safety, environmental protection, and working conditions.
• Develop and update risk assessments at workplaces.
• Prepare EHS instructions.
• Properly complete and store EHS documents.
• Give opinions on process and job instructions, and instructions for organizing safe work.
• Prepare and maintain registers, analyses, statistics, and reports resulting from Polish law and corporate requirements.
• Coordinate and conduct EHS trainings resulting from Polish law and corporate requirements.
• Conduct post-accident proceedings related to accidents at work and near-miss incidents based on legal and corporate requirements.
• Cooperate with relevant institutions (PIP, PIS) to comply with regulations and principles of occupational health and safety, improve working conditions, etc.
• Create a creative approach to building and maintaining a culture of safe work and sustainable development.
• Participate in the development of modernization and investment plans.
• Participate in global good practice groups in the field of e.g. ergonomic solutions, hand safety during mechanical and transport work, etc.
• Ongoing cooperation with other departments/functions/locations in the field of EHS.
• Ongoing cooperation within the EHS Department of Rockwell Automation Polska, including support in Warsaw office.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position preferred in a manufacturing company.
• Higher education in the field or completed postgraduate studies in the field of occupational health and safety.
• Very good knowledge of legal regulations in the field of health and safety and environmental protection as well as ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
• Communicative knowledge of English.
• Good knowledge of MS Office.
• Communication skills and ability to work in a team as well as organizational skills.
• Independence and problem-solving attitude.
